Senior Buyer
📍 Location: near Oleśnica, close to Wrocław, Poland

Join our client’s team and help develop the purchasing strategy in a dynamic manufacturing company operating in the POS industry.
In this role, you will have a real impact on cost optimization, supplier relationship development, and the company’s purchasing strategy. You will also support the purchasing team and collaborate with the production, engineering, and project departments in the implementation of new products.
Your main responsibilities
Direct Procurement
-
Managing the procurement of production materials and components, including:
-
plastic components (injection molding)
-
sheet metal structures
-
vacuum-formed elements
-
electrical components
-
packaging materials
-
-
Conducting RFQ processes and sourcing new suppliers
-
Negotiating prices, commercial terms, and long-term agreements
-
Identifying cost reduction opportunities and technical improvements (value engineering)
-
Make vs. buy analysis – in-house production vs. external sourcing
-
Cooperating with engineering and production departments during the implementation of new projects
-
Monitoring supplier performance (quality, cost, delivery)
Indirect Procurement
-
Supporting procurement in areas such as:
-
operational and maintenance materials (MRO)
-
logistics services and service contracts
-
office supplies and consumables
-

Co-creating cost optimization strategies for indirect procurement
Supplier and Supply Chain Management
-
Building long-term relationships with suppliers in Poland, across Europe, and globally
-
Supplier evaluation and audits, as well as performance monitoring
-
Managing supply risks and ensuring continuity of supply
Collaboration and Team Development

Providing support and mentoring to Buyers or Purchasing Assistants
-
Promoting best practices in procurement processes
Analysis and Systems
-
Working with ERP/MRP systems and managing procurement data
-
Preparing cost analyses and reports for management
-
Supporting continuous improvement initiatives in procurement
What we expect
-
Several years of experience in direct procurement within a manufacturing environment
-
Experience working with categories such as plastics, metal, technical components, or packaging
-
Strong negotiation skills and proven success in cost reduction initiatives
-
Experience working with international suppliers
-
English at minimum B2/C1 level
Nice to have:

Experience in the POS display industry
-
Experience in the home appliances (white goods) or automotive industry
